Here is a picture of the cake Toby's mom bought and a cute picture of Samantha. I wanted to add them to my previous post but didn't know how to post them under my blog. I'm a dog - what do you expect?

Birthday Fun!
Last week we had a birthday party for Toby Keith (the dog, not the singer!) on my deck. Toby is my friend and neighbor. He is just four years old - boy, the good old days! His mommy bought a cake from Living Ruff, our favorite store in Silver Spring! It was yummy! We also had frozen smoothies and some spinach bones that my mommy made for Toby. They were quite tasty if you ask me.
Samantha is our newest neighbor. She stopped by too. She is very pretty. It was fun. Our mommies didn't make us wear silly hats, thank God! All I wish is that Annie could of been there, but I know she was smiling down at us from a very happy place.

A Sad Day in My Life
My best friend is gone! She went to Rainbow Bridge on Thursday. I miss Annie. We had some great times together. She was my first friend I met when I moved in with my mommie.
Annie was the best friend you could ever ask for! Sometimes she would step in front of me to protect me when other dogs were barking in my face. I didn't really need her to, but the other dogs always backed off! She loved me and I loved her.
Annie and I had a lot of sleepovers at each other's houses. Her mommy took us for long walks in Rock Creek Park. Those are some of my happiest memories with Annie. I still look longingly at her patio every time my mommy and I walk by. I am just hoping I'll see Annie there, wagging her tail at me and smiling with that silly grin.

Mac's Top Ten List
OK, so if David Letterman can make these things I can too. Here is my list of favorite things to pee on...
10. Boxes at garage sales. Mommy won't take me anymore.
9. Dead animals in Rock Creek Park. They're dead, geeze, get over it!
8. Pinecones.
7. US mailboxes. Did I just incriminate myself?
6. Fire hydrants. That's a give-in.
5. Light poles.
4. Curbside garbage bags.
3. Piles of leaves. That'll teach the kids for jumping in 'em!
2. Fallen tree branches.
And my Number One Favorite Thing to Pee On...
Other doggies' pee spots!

More Snow... Oh No!

I don't like this stuff. It's cold. It makes my fur wet. The stuff they put on the sidewalk burns my pads. Ouch!
Also, it is very hard to find a place to do my business. I don't like pooping on the sidewalk, but I have no choice! I tried to climb on the snow, but I sank. It was scary!
I want no part of this. Wake me up when it is over.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
This is my first entry, so I thought I'd share a bit about me.
I was born in Virginia. I started my life in a pet store with my brother, Angus. One day my mom and dad came in the store adopted us. Angus and I never really got along. I got mad at him all the time and we fought a lot. It drove my dad crazy. Angus went to live with our grandma in VA. My family moved to California. My new house in CA was really nice. I had a great yard to run in. Well, we ended up moving back to Virginia for my dad's job with AOL. Meanwhile my mom and dad decided to get a divorce. I don't really know what that is, except that I had two houses to live in. Eventually both my mom and dad didn't have time for me. This mean guy said I bit him and that he would get my mom in lots of trouble if I didn't move away. My dad couldn't take me full time because his new wife to-be was allergic to me.
So... one day in October 2001 I jumped in the car with them and my two sisters and we drove to Maryland. I went for a walk and smelled lots of good smells. My dad and sisters left me with this lady. I cried a little, but then the lady took me on another walk. She let me sleep in her bed with her. I don't know where my dad went, but I felt safe with this lady.
Now... eight years later this lady is my mommy and I love her sooo much! I think I loved her since the day after we met. I am the luckiest dog in the world!
More later...
